Day of Dance for Lily-Mae

Dance Ireland hosts a Day of Dance for Lily-Mae, daughter of Judith Sibley (Chrysalis Dance & Youth Ballet West) as the dance community join forces once again to raise much needed funds for research into neuroblastoma today Sunday 17 November 2013.

With over 40 classes on offer from 11am to 5pm, taught by Ireland’s leading dancers and dance teachers, there is something for all the family to enjoy while supporting this important charity.

Classes on offer throughout the day include children & family classes, ballet, contemporary dance, hip hop, hula hooping, Irish dance, Sean Nós, African dance, pole dancing, showgirl, line dancing, yoga, pilates, parcours and choreographer master classes.

No booking. Just drop into Dancehouse, drop your donation in the bucket and dance.

Lily-Mae Morrison was diagnosed on the 1st June 2012 with a rare form of cancer called Neuroblastoma which effects 1 in 100,000 children in Ireland. There is a 70% chance that Lily-Mae will relapse and in that event she would need to travel to Europe or America to avail of cutting edge trial treatments that are not available in Ireland. To date, over €420,000 has been raised. The goal is half a million. Any further funding will go to the Neuroblastoma Society to assist research into this appalling disease. All proceeds go to the Sunni-Mae Trust.
