Children's Opera Noye's Fludde
Friday 22 November 2013 is the centenary of the birth of the British composer Benjamin Britten (1913–1976), and the DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama will be celebrating the event with a performance of his children’s opera Noye's Fludde. Noye’s Fludde tells the biblical story of Noah and the Ark. The text is taken from one of the medieval Chester Mystery Plays. Britten’s music is scored for an orchestra and choir of children with parts for professionals and audience participation. All hosted in St Patrick’s Cathedral at 8pm.
