Get your skates on

If you fancy having a go at a Torvill and Dean impression, you can get your skates on at a few different venues in Dublin over the next couple of weeks.

Dundrum on Ice is back at Dundrum town centre and runs from 25th October 2013 – 12th January 2014. Family tickets available from 30-€45 euro.

Swords on Ice opens in it’s new location beside the Pavilions town centre in Swords. The Swords On Ice will be open from November 2012 – January 2013 (family tickets from €30 - €40).

You can also skate at the RDS at i-Skate @RDS - supposed to be ireland's newest and biggest ice rink.  Family tickets from €31.50 - €40.50.  Opens 6th December - 12th January.

The 7UP Winter Wonderland at the Royal Hospital Kilmainham has an ice skate rink - it says on the website that it is Ireland's largest covered rink (8th December to 8th January). family tickets from €44.50.

Oddly, Ireland is currently without a permanent ice skating rink.  If you want to go for a spin at a non festive time of the year you will have to head to Antrim and go to the Ice Bowl.
