Festive Films

One of the highlights of Christmas is all the fab festive films. There will be lots on the telly and in the cinemas of course (Frozen and Moshi Monsters are two of the big ones out soon), but if you fancy an alternative there are quite a few venues around Dublin that will screen some family favourites.

In Meeting House Square in Temple Bar, Christmas on the Square will take pace from the 17th-21st December. Lots of well-loved movies for all ages, from The Grinch Who Stole Christmas, The Polar Express, Elf and The Muppet Christmas Carol. Wrap up warm though as it is outdoor.

Arthur is very popular this year showing in the Seamus Ennis Centre on the 20th December at 7pm and in Rua Red on the 21st December at 12pm.

The Chester Beatty Library is screening "101 Dalmatians" on the 14th December at 2pm.

The Mill Theatre is screening "Elf" on the 20th December at 7pm.

The Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray is showing "Muppets Christmas Carol" on the 22nd December at 2pm.

The Draiocht is showing the classic "Miracle on 54th Street" on the 4th December at 7.30pm, but it is now sold out so they have decided to put on an extra screening and Wednesday 11th December at 7.30pm as part of its film club.
