Fingal County Council’s Arts Office, Children’s Books Ireland and Laureate na
nÓg Niamh Sharkey are working together to present A
Year of Illustration 2013. This collaboration, taking place throughout
Fingal in 2013 aims to ensure children can flex their creative abilities in a
wide range of workshops, monster drawing sessions and other arts activities in
schools, child care facilities, community centres and venues across Fingal.
As part of the wider programme, three family events will take place in Farmleigh House (took place in July), Malahide Castle (24th August) & Draíocht (6th October). All family events are free to attend, there is no need to book just turn up on the day to register. All workshop materials will be provided. There may be lots of paint, so you are advises to dress appropriately.
Saturday August 24th at Malahide Castle
10.30- 12 Monster Doodle for under 6′s.
2.30- 4.00 Monster Doodle for ages 6 and over.
10.30- 4 The Picture book Treasure hunt
11-3 The Drop-In Book Clinic with Book Doctors
Saturday October 5th at Family Day at Draíocht, Blanchardstown
12-3 Drop in family Monster Doodle with Laureate na nÓg Niamh Sharkey
